With the Great British Bake Off coming back to our screens, it’s time to get in the baking mood and enter the Vegetarian Society Virtual Bake Off to fundraise for our work. For a donation of £3, you have the chance to win a special prize and claim the title of the Vegetarian Society Star Baker!
Everyone can take part: experienced bakers or beginners, individuals or families. You can bake anything you like, as long as it’s a sweet treat and its vegetarian or vegan. From multi-colour icing cakes, brownies or scones, whatever it is, show off what you can do!
As we can’t taste your amazing treats, we will be judging your entry on its appearance. This will include the colours, decorations and the shape, so feel free to get really creative and bring out your signature bakes and your showstopper creations.
Your bake will be judged by our very own baking champion, Ngwafu Tansie, the Vegetarian Society Cookery School Assistant Manager.
The Virtual Bake Off competition will close at 11.59pm on 11 October – so get baking!
It’s easy to enter
Step 1: Register for the Vegetarian Society Virtual Bake Off and donate £3 to receive your online submission form.
Step 2: Get your apron on, whip up your delicious signature bake and take up to three photos of it!
Step 3: Take photographs of your creation with a sign that says ‘Vegetarian Society Virtual Bake Off’ and upload it with a description of your baked good (we want to know all about it!) using the online form. See the rules below for guidance on your photos.
You have until 11.59pm on 11 October to enter your bake in the competition by completing the online form.
What you could win
The Virtual Bake Off winner will win a Vegetarian Society Online Cookery Class of their choice. We’ll also feature your show-stopping creation on our website and social media (only if you want us to, of course), and you’ll have exclusive bragging rights as this year’s winner of the Vegetarian Society Virtual Bake Off!
Challenge your friends, family and work colleagues!
Why not invite your friends, family and work colleagues to join you in the Bake Off tent? The more people who take part in the challenge, the more fun it will be and the more money you can raise!
On your marks, get set… BAKE!
