This book is filled with more than 140 vegan recipes that are wholesome, bright and colourful – they look so good, I wanted to cook them all at once.
Tony and Yvonne Bishop-Weston are a chef and nutritionist respectively and have more than fifteen years’ experience writing about nourishing food. The ‘Vegan Cookbook’ covers a range of cuisines but doesn’t just talk about the delicious food you can make. It also looks at the environmental factors of eating a more plant-based diet, the ethics behind veganism and has a very useful nutritional guide to help you get started.
While the book seems to be aimed at new vegans, the recipes are everything you could ever need! Everything is kept simple, but these dishes wouldn’t look out of place at a dinner party. I really enjoyed that almost every page contains variations, nutritional tips and chef’s tips to make things simpler or so you can try the recipe again with an added twist.
This was an inspiring read that really made me want to try everything. I’ll definitely keep referring back to this one for recipes in the future.
