Get Buzzing’s Wowbutter Bar has been incorrectly marketed as vegan. This product contains honey.
Get Buzzing’s Wowbutter Bar’s packaging also displays the Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark. Although we accredit a number of Get Buzzing products, we do not accredit the Wowbutter Bar. Our trademark has been used on this product in error.
Get Buzzing has told us they “have stopped manufacturing any Vegan Wowbutter Bars containing honey as an ingredient. The next production run will be using glucose syrup…”
Consumers are advised that incorrectly labelled Wowbutter Bars remain in circulation.

Itsu [grocery] is recalling its frozen Itsu Vegetable Fusion Gyoza, 300g, with a best before date of 11 .04.2022 as they contain seafood gyoza which contains crustaceans, mollusc and fish and may contain egg which are not declared on the label.
Itsu has advised consumers: “Please do not consume this product with this best before date if you have an allergy or intolerance to crustaceans, mollusc, fish or egg or are vegetarian/vegan. No other itsu [grocery] products or batches are affected.
“For a full refund please send a picture of the best before date on the packaging to: customerservice@itsugrocery.com, or write to us at: itsu [grocery], 40 Broadway, Westminster, London, SW1 H 0BU.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation.”

We believe The Skinny Food Co’s Chocoholic Unicorn Spread is incorrectly labelled as being suitable for vegetarians, as it clearly states carmine in the ingredients. Carmine is an ingredient that is never vegetarian.
We have contacted The Skinny Food Co for clarification and comment.

Nestlé UK and Ireland has decided, as a precautionary measure, to voluntarily recall all cans of SMA Wysoy with the following batch details as some cans have been found to contain pieces of blue plastic used to make the scoops:

No other SMA Nutrition products are affected by this voluntary recall.

It has come to our attention that some of Mayfair Pharmaceuticals’ The Intelligent Health CoQ10 supplements have been labelled with our Vegetarian Society Approved vegan trademark in error. This product includes beeswax.
The Intelligent Health CoQ10 is licensed to carry our Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark.
Mayfair Pharmaceuticals have apologised for the error and are correcting the labelling on this product.

It has come to our attention that some of Sunshine Snacks Ltd’s Party Treats Mega Share Bags have been inaccurately labelled with our Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark. This product includes non-vegetarian sweets containing beef gelatine.
Sunshine Snacks Ltd have apologised for the error and issued a product recall. They have stated they are addressing the matter as quickly as possible.

It has come to our attention that due to a technical error, a number of animal feed products by Allen & Page have been labelled online with the Vegetarian Society Approved vegan trademark instead of our vegetarian trademark. Our website and Allen & Page’s website have now been updated.
Only one of the affected products, Soothe and Gain, has the Vegetarian Society Approved vegan trademark on the product packaging itself. All other products correctly carry our Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark on the packaging.

Food For Progress, manufacturers of Oumph! products, are recalling Oumph! The Burger due to possible traces of milk being found in the product.
Affected products have a Best Before End date of 22/07/2021 and a pack size of 226g (2 x 113g). No other date codes or products are affected.
In a statement, Food For Progress said: “If you have purchased Oumph! The Burger with BBE 22/07/2021 do not eat the
product, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused and will ensure this doesn’t happen again. If you would like any further information please contact: Oumph! Customer Care on +46 (0) 708 923265.”Oumph! It has been brought to our attention that Sainsbury’s 10 Vegetable Gyoza with soy and ginger dip may contain prawn.
As a precautionary measure, Sainsbury’s is asking customers who have purchased this product and have an allergy or an intolerance to prawn (crustaceans), to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund.
Affected products have a best before date of June 2021, an SKU of 7862858, and additional product numbers of 17519 and VN 381 IV 078.
